Your Guide to Planning a Great GRAPE Escape!
The first wine trip I ever took – and planned – was in Tuscany, what seems like a million years ago. I can honestly say I made nearly every mistake possible. Looking back I have no idea why we thought we could “wing it” for tastings. But, I chalk it up to life and not knowing what you don’t know. Times have changed and I know a lot more when it comes to planning a wine trip. The most important lesson is that exploring wine country shouldn’t be complicated, let alone daunting but it can be. Unfortunately, I’ve heard that it does deter some of you guys from heading out among the vines.
I’ve been there. I get it. I still get overwhelmed at times when I’m heading out to explore a new wine region. There is just soooo much to sip in!!! Which is one of the reasons I do what I do at Carpe Travel…try to help guide you guys on your wine country adventures.
Recently I realized – after several of you have sent me questions – that I didn’t have a detailed, guide on how to plan a wine trip.
Volia! Ask and you shall receive.
I’ve broken this guide into a few different steps since this is a lot of information to sip in. If you are past any of these steps just click to the most relevant to help you plan your perfect wine trip. But, if you’re just getting started I suggest you start with step one. If you are just looking for some quick tips, I’ve got that covered too.
